There is no infinitive in Arabic.
So to translate the infinitive verbs, we use the 3rd person singular past tense or present tenseof the verb.
To eat
- يَأْكُلُ
- he eats
- أَكَلَ
- he ate
Note: in Arabic we can omit the pronoun and just keep the verb.
We can also say
- هُوَ يَأْكُلُ
- he eats
- هُوَ أَكَلَ
- he ate
